The Story

  • CCK small slicer ("Sangdao"); Stainless steel blade with a migaki ("polished") finish for easy maintenance
  • This chinese cleaver has a distal taper and a very thin edge for slicing; it's definitely not made for chopping through bones (see our Meat Cleavers for that)
  • Barrel shaped wood handle with brass ferrule and stick tang that's folded over at the handle end
  • Blade measures 8.25 x 3.75" and weighs 10.4 oz.
  • Chan Chi Kee ("CCK") has been forging Chinese chef's knives for over 100 years and have become known all over the world for their high performance
  • Made in Hong Kong
  • Note: CCK cleavers frequently exhibit imperfections in fit & finish which are not considered a defect.
